Tara (Tarini) Taylor
Tara (Tarini) Taylor is a licensed massage therapist (LMT) (MA# 54607) certified yoga instructor (E-RYT 200) and certified life coach.
Tara’s dedication to self-exploration, honesty and humility make her a true example of living yoga. She is best known for bringing a sense of humor to her practice and teachings, as well as sharing her insights in a down-to-Earth, approachable manner. Decidedly non-dogmatic, Tara views yoga as a product of the curiosity, creativity, and playfulness of the ancients. She encourages her students to express their individuality and authenticity by utilizing their own creative power and intuition to forge a practice that is relevant to them. In her presence, students find inspiration to connect with and honor their deepest selves while celebrating who they already are.
Tara began practicing massage and teaching yoga at Breathe in April of 2009. Shortly thereafter, she began apprenticing under her mentor Divya Elting. The following spring, Tara traveled to Anand Prakash ashram in Rishikesh, India to receive her 200 hour teacher training with Yogi Vishveketu. Tara has since traveled to India multiple times as a seeker, teacher, and guide for Namaskar Yoga Adventures.
In August of 2013, along with many of her colleagues from Breathe, Tara completed a year-long life coaching certification. She offers this service along with yoga and massage as yet another tool for those on the path toward wholeness and self-discovery.
In addition to asana, Tara’s yoga classes feature breath awareness, mantra, music, guided relaxation, poetry, and meditation. It was her playful nature that made her fall in love with Aerial Yoga, which is another of her offerings. Tara hopes to impart to her students that yoga is infinitely more than physical exercise; it is a way of living, working, and being which is practiced on the mat and lived in our relationships with ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Tara’s massage treatments integrate deep tissue and neuro-muscular therapy with Swedish relaxation techniques, passive stretch and aromatherapy. Each session is customized according to the specific concerns, needs, and preferences of the receiver
