The Way of Regeneration: A Restorative Yoga Practice (All Levels): Dog Stage

We are entering the phase of the year that calls our spirits and bodies inward. If we can attune to this cycle and rhythm of the Earth that summons us to sink more fully into her embrace, we can activate deeper levels of regeneration and renewal. This session is designed to support this process with restorative and energetic practices that help calm and nourish the mind, body, and spirit so that we may each awaken with more creative energy for a new cycle.

Restorative Yoga is a healing practice that combines extended floor postures with various yoga props to help support the muscles and bones, allowing the body to enter a state of complete relaxation. As the layers of the body relax and you clear physical, emotional and mental tensions, the nervous system is soothed and the participant is able to enter into a deeply peaceful space. Restorative Yoga can help reduce stress, increase energy and creativity, focus the mind, enhance concentration, and ease transitions.

This practice, which is suitable for all levels of students, is an excellent way to invest in your own well-being and nurture the resources that can help you move forward with a renewed and embodied presence.

*We will have a limited amount of props available, so if you have your own eye pillows, blankets, blocks, or bolsters, please bring them with you so that others may use the ones provided at the festival.
