Hoop Dance Basics: An Hour of Infinite Circles with Mariah McKay
11156295_1082871055063589_7202733445645731127_n
Hailing from the white sands of the emerald coast, Mariah McKay has been exploring a fascination with movement since an adolescence. In pursuit of various forms of physical expression, she found abysmal, infinite connection between her body and the space around it, through the use of a hoop. Over the last five years, the hoop has guided her mind and body on an endless journey of self discovery.

Hooping can be what ever you want it to be- a mediation, a recess, a challenge. It’s about creating a space for yourself to just be; a microcosm where you are the star, and your hoop orbits around your radiancy. This workshop will teach you some essential ideas of movement for inciting or advancing your hoop play. We will cover anything from beginning on-body techniques to free form expression. All skill levels welcome!
