Jungle Drum Yoga with Priscilla Stambolic

Children in the workshop will be led to identify the most defined colors of our chakras as they relate to various jungles of the world. Using storytelling we will explore movement and breathing which emulates the spirit of various jungle (and not so jungle) animals. Using the drums, we will connect sound with movement. This class will allow for children to tap into their own exploration of movement as we connect to the connection and sounds conjured up within the class. The class will end with a drum craft and meditative color sheets. A 60-minute yoga workshop for children, designed to explore movement, breathing and adventure of the imagination.

  • Saturday: 10 am – 11 am
  • 10-minutes: Welcome opening (meet & greet)
  • 30-minutes: Yoga practice (as described above) 20 minutes of teacher lead instruction and 10 minutes of student lead instruction.
  • 20-minutes: Meditation through creation of drums and color sheets
