About Pensacola

Downtown Pensacola Florida

People that live in downtown, LOVE downtown. The more than 1,500 people that now call Downtown Pensacola home list walk-ability, cultural attractiveness, waterfront proximity, and a high quality of life as the reasons they love living here. They walk the same paths that Andrew Jackson once tread when they go from their homes to the downtown restaurants, shopping, entertainment and churches – and they realize the uniqueness and value of downtown’s blossoming urban environment.

Downtown is where Pensacola began. It’s where the city grew up and where, even now, growth and progress blend seamlessly with a past more than 400 years old. It’s where charming historical homes and newly developed loft condominiums have found a way to complement each other. It’s where unique fine dining, locally owned retail shops, and entertainment are just steps from your front door. It’s where the culture thrives in a way that brings an enjoyable environment year-round through festivals, art shows, Gallery Nights, parades as well as the performing and visual arts. It’s where the waterfront is a few steps away. It’s the heart of Florida’s first city and the hub of a close-knit community…

It sounds like a great place to live. It sounds like Downtown Pensacola.

A refreshing blend of historic resolve and cosmopolitan progress defines Downtown Pensacola.

Charming brick streets hold centuries of secrets waiting to be told. Cultural events delight visitors near and far. Small boutiques carry modern day treasures with a touch of Southern hospitality. From fine dining to casual Gulf Coast cuisine, Downtown Pensacola restaurants and bars provide a discovery for the senses. Whether you live, work, or play in Pensacola, Downtown holds the key to memory-making experiences.
